中文摘要 | 過雲端巨量資料運算的需求已逐漸被運用在可攜式電子產品( 如智慧型手機、平板等) 與雲端Server 間。而這些可攜式電子產品晶片又為了維持長時間的待機有迫切的低功率消耗的要求。這些晶片需要在大量邏輯運算的需求之下同時降低功率的消耗,三態內容儲存器(TCAM) 可以做為巨量資料的過濾器(Filter) 以降低處理器資料運算的壓力並大幅降低待機時的功率消耗,而非揮發性靜態隨機存取記憶體(NV-SRAM) 也能夠在儲存備份所儲存之資料之後關閉,降低待機時的功率消耗。因此,非揮發性邏輯電路將在未來可攜式電子產品之晶片內佔有一重要之角色。邏輯製程電阻式記憶體(RRAM) 很有機會成為下一世代內嵌式非揮發性記憶體,因為此記憶體有結構簡單、耐久性佳以及低寫入電壓的特性。也因為其與邏輯製程相容的特性,非常適合作為非揮發性邏輯電路的基本組成元件。 |
英文摘要 | Cloud computing is used in applications associated with many different electronic devices (such as smart phones, platforms, etc.). For the need of long standby time and low power consumption in those wearable devices, the chip needs to reduce the power consumption when processing large amount of data. A TCAM based filter in the device can reduce the amount of data that must be sent to the cloud and further reduce the total overall power consumption. By storing the data into a nonvolatile SRAM macro, devices can turn off the power when going into sleep mode and reduce leakage power. Therefore, nonvolatile logic circuits will play an important role in chip of wearable devices in the future. Resistive RAM (RRAM) is a promising candidate for next generation embedded nonvolatile memories. Because of its simple structure, good endurance and low voltage operations. |
