英文摘要 | This study identified and analyzed the level of job satisfaction among faculty at Hsing Wu College. Specifically, the study examined faculty demographic factors, the levels of job satisfaction, and the relationships among these variables. The Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) and a demographic questionnaire that included one open-ended question were utilized to obtain the data for this study. Out of a population of 287 full-time faculty members, 140 usable surveys, or 48.78%, were returned. Descriptive statistics, a t test, one-way analyses of variance (ANOVAs), and Scheff post-hoc follow-up tests were used to analyze the data. The study concluded that faculty at Hsing Wu College are generally satisfied with their jobs. Faculty indicated that their greatest satisfaction came from being able to do things that do not go against their consciences, while chances for advancement on the job produce the least satisfaction. Age, length of service, academic rank, and present duties of faculty are the demographic characteristics that most significantly influence their perceptions of job satisfaction. However, the open-ended question discovered that faculty believe good collegial and students relations is the greatest indicator of job satisfaction, while encountering difficulties in achieving success in research, teaching, and service is the greatest indicator of dissatisfaction. |
