中文摘要 | 英語學習者對於如何學習英語通常其備某些信念。這些學習信念植基於他們先前的學習經驗和文化背景,而且將進一步影響他們為增進英語能力所使用的學習策略。然而學習信念在台灣仍然是一個方興未艾的研究領域。因此本研究置在調查專科學校學生所特具的學習信念。參與此研究的學生人數共有143位。資料分析方法主要為描述性統計,以摘述研究對象對問卷BALLI之回答。這項研究報告了學生所持的英語學習信念,並討論這些信念對他們所用學習策略的潛在影響,另外也探討如何在教學上整合本研究的發現。 |
英文摘要 | English second-language learners have certain beliefs about how to learn English. These learning beliefs are often based on their previous learning experiences and cultural backgrounds, and will further influence strategies these learners use to enhance their English learning. However, learning beliefs are still an area where little work has been done in Taiwan. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate specific learning beliefs held by five-year junior college students majoring in Applied English. A total of 143 students participated in this study. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics in order to summarize the participants' responses to the questionnaire BALLI. The results of this study reported on students' beliefs and the potential impact of these beliefs on their learning strategies. Some pedagogical implications were also discussed. |
