中文摘要 | 脂多醣是葛蘭氏陰性菌外細胞壁之主要成分,其對肝臟的危害,會引起細胞激素、一氧化氮以及脂質過氧化作用的異常,並可造成動物體之敗血症。芝麻油是從植物Sesamum indicum中所萃取而來,在華人社會中被認為是生活中不可或缺的保健食品,並於目前被發現具有相當強效的抗氧化及抗發炎作用。因此,本研究藉由肝功能血液生化參數的研究,來探討芝麻油在脂多醣所誘發之大白鼠肝臟傷害之保護作用,並藉由測定組織及血液中脂質過氧化作用及一氧化氮之含量,來研究芝麻油之保護作用機轉。研究結果顯示,芝麻油對於敗血症的大白鼠,可降低肝功能指標天冬胺酸轉化酶及總膽紅素的含量,並可抑制其白血球數的急性下降,也對脂質過氧化反應產生抑制作用。然而芝麻油對脂多醣所引起的一氧化氮含量增加,抑制效果並不顯著。此外,研究結果也顯示,相同劑量的玉米油及礦物油對脂多醣誘發的肝臟傷害,並無保護作用。 |
英文摘要 | Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is the main component of the outer cell wall of all gram-negative bacteria; it causes severe pathological alterations of cytokines, nitric oxide, and lipid oxidation, which thought to be involved in the hepatotoxicity of LPS, Sesame oil (SO), a health food used in the East, had shown potent effects of anti-inflammation and anti-oxidation. The objectives of this study are to investigate the effects and the possible mechanism of SO on hepatic damage via determinations of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total bilirubin (TBIL), leukocyte counts, lipid peroxide (LPO), and nitric oxide (NO) levels in LPS-treated Wistar rats. The results indicated that SO reduced both AST and TBIL levels in dose-dependent manners and relieved leukopenia in LPS-treated rats. SO meliorated serum lipid peroxidation without affecting NO generation. Unlike SO, corn oil and mineral oil showed no protective effects on LPS-induced liver damage. |
