英文摘要 | The objective of this study is to simulate the forming processing of a slotted single perforated stick propellant and to design a profile die. We investigated the die swell, which is a major behavior of melt fluid, and to predict the final shape of extrudates formed by profile extrusion. The finite element method was used to simulate a Newtonian fluid passing through a die with geometry of a quarter ring profile, a half ring profile, a three-third ring profile and a single-slotted perforated ring profile. The swell percentages were adopted to represent the extent of die swell. Based on the swell percentages, a modified die was designed to produce desired profile extrudates and a slotted single perforated stick propellant was produced. According to the prediction of die geometry, the extrudate with a desired profile has been made. |
