| 英文摘要 | Purpose: This study aims to investigate the influences of socioeconomic status, activity experiences, and indoor space on motor development and health in preschool children in an ecological perspective. Method: The parent questionnaire data of 1,591 children aged four to five years from the Kids in Taiwan study were utilized in this study. Structural equation modeling and path analysis were used to explore the influences of socioeconomic status, activity experiences, and indoor space on motor development and health in preschool children. Results: The results showed that socioeconomic status, activity experiences, indoor space, motor development, and health of preschool children were significantly positively correlated. Activity experiences and indoor space had significant positive direct effects on motor development in preschool children. Socioeconomic status exerted an indirect influence on motor development in preschool children through activity experiences and indoor space. Additionally, the motor development of children at age four had a significant positive effect on the health of children at age five. Conclusion: The home environments had an important impact on the motor development and health in preschool children, and activity experiences played a key mediating role in children's motor development and health. The results could be used as a reference for educational practitioners in the fields of motor development and physical activity to promote children's motor abilities. |
