中文摘要 | 許多文獻證實中草藥具有多種保健功效,故本研究以洛神花、金針花、桂花及甘草等草本植物,經萃取濃縮而成之複方保健茶為對象,探討其基因毒性及抗氧化活性。以安氏試驗法 (Ames test) 評估此複方保健茶於Salmonella typhimurium TA100及TA102系統中,經肝臟轉化酵素代謝活化之毒性、致突變及抗致突變性。結果顯示,於劑量範圍 (0.25~5 mg/plate) 內,無論有無添加鼠肝混合物 (S9) 皆不具毒性及致突變性。此外,複方保健茶對於TA100菌株,具有抗4-nitroquinoline-N-oxide (NQNO) 及aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) 突變活性。抗氧化活性方面,樣品濃度於1 mg/mL對DPPH自由基清除能力達92.9%,總抗氧化能力高達98.6%,而濃度於2.5 mg/mL時還原力之吸光值可達1.5以上,總酚及類黃酮含量則分別為43.5 mg/g及5.9 mg/g。綜合上述結果,此一複方保健茶為一安全性食品且具高抗氧化能力,可開發作為保健產品。 |
英文摘要 | Many researches reported that Chinese herbal medicines had multi-functional health benefits. In the present study, safety and antioxidative activity of Hibiscus Sabdariffa L., Hemerocallis fulva L., Osmanthus fragrans Lour and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch were analyzed. The extracts at different concentrations were mixed to obtain functional formula beverage. The evaluations included toxicity, mutagenicity and antimutagenicity using Ames test on Salmonella typhimurium TAI00 and TAI02 with or without liver transferase S9 in the preincubation method. Our results showed that the functional formula beverage at the concentration of 0.25~5 mg/plate showed no eytotoxicity and mutagenieity effects on all strains, with or without $9 mixture. The functional formula beverage decreased mutagenic activity of mutagens 4-nitroquinoline-N-oxide (NQNO) and aflatoxin BI (AFB1) on TA100 strain. At the concentration of 1 mg/ mL, the functional formula beverage presented high DPPH free radical scavenging activity (92.9%) and the trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) up to 98.6%. At the concentration of 2.5 mg/mL, the functional formula beverage which was assayed by the reducing power method showed an absorption value above 1.5. The total phenolic compounds and flavonoids of the extracts were 43.5 and 5.9 mg/g, respectively. The present results indicate that the functional formula beverage is edible and safe for consumption. Since the extracts showed high antioxidative activity, it might also be developed as functional products. |
