中文摘要 | 本研究探討父母離婚(分居)單親家庭及父母一方過世單親家庭,其於不同父母資源狀態下對孩子學習成就的影響力。使用臺灣教育長期追蹤資料庫(Taiwan Education Panel Study, TEPS) 2001年第一波國中學生、學生家長資料檔,及2003年第二波國中學生追蹤資料檔。合併後樣本來自原生雙親家庭者為11,603位,佔83%;來自分居或離婚家庭者為1742位,佔12.3%;來自父母一方過家庭者為609位,佔4.4%。研究使用Ordinary Least Square (OLS) Linear Regression來探討不同單親家庭結構於父母經濟資源、參與資源及文化資源與孩子學習成就的關係。結果發現,不論是離婚(分居)單親家庭或是父母一方過世之單親家庭,其三類之父母資源均較原生雙親家庭低。在孩子成就表現方面,除了父母一方過世單親家庭孩子對自我期許較原生雙親家庭孩子高外,其餘均較原生雙親家庭低。研究結果並發現父母資源為家庭結構及孩子學習成就之部份仲介變項。 |
英文摘要 | Many studies have demonstrated that children from single-parent family do not perform as well in school as children from both biological parents, but the explanations are still unsolved. This study examines the effect of parental resources on off-spring educational achievement by using a nationally representative sample of 7th grader and their parents from 2001 and follow-up 2003 Taiwan Educational Panel Study (TEPS). The result suggests that children from widowed single-parent family have more parental resources than children from divorced single-parent family, but both kind of single-parent family have less parental resources than both biological parents. Parental resources - economic resources, interpersonal resources, and culture resources - as a partial mediator between single-parent family and educational outcomes. |
