中文摘要 | 新聞英文的書寫方式,有常用型態的書寫文體,亦有非常用型態的書寫文體,其中就標題文體而言,有省略be動詞之不定式句型、有省略be動詞之現在進行式句型、有省略be動詞而具過去分詞之被動語態句型、有以現在式動詞表達過去動作之句型、有以字句間之「逗點」代替「and」之句型、有以名詞取代動詞意涵之句型、有以過去式或完成式表達過去堅定信念之句型、有以could+V.或will(shall)+V.表達臆測或預測之句型、亦有以must+V.表達強烈理念之句型;而就正文文體而言,有重點內容書寫在句段開頭之書寫方式、亦有重點內容書寫在冒號之前的書寫方式。因此,新聞英文的文體類型有其自成一格的特色。 由於新聞英文有其自成一格的特色,因此新聞英文的翻譯,既須考量新聞英文本身的文體類型及表意方式,又須考量翻譯本身的理論架構及實務運作,就前者新聞英文本身的翻譯考量而言,標體文體的各類型態及正文文體的輕重內容排序,都需深思熟慮,又要當機立斷。就後者翻譯本身的理論與實務考量而言,翻譯理論應用在新聞英文的實況翻譯上,遷就原文的各類翻譯法與遷就譯文的各類翻譯法,都需精巧抉擇、又要有效選向,其中遷就原文的直譯法、語意翻譯法及遷就譯文的意譯法、溝通翻譯法,較能順理成章、立竿見影。 新聞英文具有明顯的特質與可貴的價值,它的教育功能及社會功能因生活的需求而自然結合也自然顯現,因此新聞英文在英文教學的實際推演上,不論教材的選擇或教法的運用,都可依教學目標的設定及教學的目的的展現而在實際的教學情境中得到可行而有效的驗證,這當中不論是國小英語的聽、說側重、國中英語的聽、說、讀、寫並重或高中的聽、說、讀、寫加重,只要經師條件具備、人師條件符合,則新聞英文在英文教學上的大放異彩會是必然的! |
英文摘要 | Headline and context are the main indicators of News English, in which the writing styles of headline and context are very clear to us. Of these two main points the former includes the sentence forms as follows: (1) to-infinitive, (2) present tense, (3) present progressive tense, (4) future tense, (5) past tense or perfect tense, (6) past participle, (7) using ‘comma’ instead of ‘and’, or (8) using ‘noun’ instead of ‘verb’, etc. As to the latter, the more important ideas take precedence of others: (1) The main contents of the context are written at the beginning of sentences of paragraphs, (2) The main contents of the context are clearly written before comma followed by noted personality or organization. Owing to the evident characteristics of News English in writing styles of headline and context, the translation for News English has to be seriously considered the true meaning of headline and more important ideas in context. And then the translation theory and traslation practice also have to be effectively integrated, particularly the translating implementations of emphasis on source language and emphasis on target language are really necessary, in which the literal translation, semantic translation of emphasis on source language and free translation, communicative translation of emphasis on target language are more popularly used. Teaching English through News English can be compared with Teaching English through English literature text, because good English passages in context are always suitable for English teaching in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. There are more and more appropriate passages that can be selected from News English including its theme attractions, content influences, language features, sentence skills, therefore an effective application to English teaching through good News English will go well, if the relative requirements have been filled. |
