中文摘要 | Culture and foreign language learning are two sides of the same coin. Yet culture played only a minor role in most language classrooms. the classroom is an important learning place for students. Establishing an authentic target cultural environment is useful for target language learning. The teacher needs to be both practical and perceptive, understanding what happens in the classroom, and observing evidences of the culture with which both the teacher and the students are surrounded in the learning environment. The interrelation of culture and language is so intimate that there is no way of understanding a society unless one understands its conversation. Every societal group has a unique culture. Teachers should teach foreign language with stimulating students' curiosity on cultural exploration. This paper will explore the ties between the culture and foreign language teaching in the three aspects; 1) culture of the classroom, 2) teaching a foreign language, 3)correlating culture with foreign language teaching. In order to have a satisfied lingual performance, foreign language acquisition basically needs to associate with four factors: the learners, the teachers, the textbooks, and the learning environment. Cultural perception input into each factor will make the language learning more successful and practical. |
英文摘要 | 文化與外語學習為一體的兩面,然而在主要的學習場所--教室,外國文化的學 習往往僅居於次要的角色。教室對學生而言是一個重要的學習場所,創造一個真實的外語 文化情境,對外語的學習有很大的幫助。語言教師須著重實際的教學與對語言本身的認知 ,並瞭解在教學當中所發生的情況以及觀察學生和老師所處環境的文化狀況。文化和語言 之間的關係很密切,要學會外語應先瞭解其社會文化的背景。每一個社會團體有其獨特的 文化,教授外語的教師應該同時激發學生對該文化探討的好奇心。本篇文章從三方面探討 文化與外語教學之間的關係;〔一〕教室的文化;〔二〕外語的教學;〔三〕文化與外語 的整合。外語的學習,基本上需結合學習者本身,教師,教科書,以及學習環境四項因素 ,如果各項因素都包含文化理解的成分,則語言的學習將更成功及具實用性。 |
