| 中文摘要 | 本文旨在說明:一個語言教師不但應對他所教的語言有深切的瞭解,而且也應具 備對其文化方面的覺知。具體上筆者試圖從中英文作文的不同思想模式( thought pattern )上找例子,以說明文化覺知在語言教學上的重要性,並且期望語言教師在教學上對語言及 文化多做對比分析,以期使學生能掌握到語言與文化的共通性及本土性的特點。 |
| 英文摘要 | The main objective of this article is to clarify and emphasize that a language teacher not only should have a deeper understanding but also should have possessed cultural awareness of the target language that he/she is going to teach. The present writer tries to explain the importance of cultural awareness in language teaching by the difference in thought pattern between the East and West through concrete examples in writing a composition. It is hoped that language teachers have more contrastive analysis of the target language and its culture, so that students may grasp both the universal characteristics and the basic nature of the target language that they are learning. |
