中文摘要 | 本試驗以通透性極差、極易乾裂及蜂巢裂,乾燥需時甚長及耗能甚多之3.0cm厚 白橡木一級無節及瑕疵之平鋸、象鋸混合板材為試材。探討不同之乾燥方法以降低耗能。試 驗結果總結為 1. 於高溫高濕之熱帶地區, 生材可於通風良好之室內氣乾至含水率近 FSP 時再續行 0.5m/s 低風速之窯乾處理而無乾燥瑕疵發生。 2. 生材逕行窯乾處理者,初期以 2.5m/s 之材間風速啟窯, 含水率降至 50 %後漸次調降風速至 0.5m/s 可節省大量空氣循 環動力能源。3. 以四段調降風速之處理並不降低乾燥材之品質並對乾燥時間影響甚微。 |
英文摘要 | White oak is a very refractory species of wood, poor penetration, easy to check, honeycomb and requires a long period of time in kiln drying which results in a great amount of power consumption. The aim of this study was to investigate an economic varied air circulation velocity or a combined drying method to dry the 3cm thick white oak lumber without affecting the quality of lumber. The results of this study was summarized as follows:1.In the high temperature and humidity tropic area, green wood of white oak lumber can be air dried in a good ventilated house to fiber saturation point (FSP) then kiln dried to a desired final moisture content with 0.5m/s low air velocity without degrade the quality. 2.Starting the kiln drying (KD) of green wood with 2.5m/s air velocity till moisture content (MC) fall to 50 % then gradually decrease the air velocity of circulation to 0.5m/s, a great amount of energy consumed on circulation can be saved. 3.4-stage varied descending air velocity of KD do not degrade the quality of lumber and without lasting the KD time. |
