英文摘要 | This paper describes a novel method that has been developed to accurately determine the distance between a transmitter and a receiver in an Ultrasonic Ranging System. The method fuses the time-of-flight (TOF) and phase (P) measurements by means of a circuit to obtain a combined signal (PTOF). In earlier schemes this fusion was normally accomplished in software requiring additional circuitry to obtain a phase measurement. We detail the circuit operation and compare it with previously reported techniques. The prototype system described in this paper is very stable and robust, and it exhibits an accuracy of ±0.295 mm in a range of 0.5842 m without any compensation for environmental disturbances. |
