中文摘要 | 體育學院運動技術學系,以招考高中高職優秀之運動員為主。本研究是為使該系 學生能有效的學習運動英語而發展設計的專門運動英語課程。本課程有兩個方面不同於其他 一般之英語課程。第一:課程內容著重於運動英語,第二:課程必須應用電腦的技術。學生 們能以自己的方便時間及自己腳步隨時利用電腦學習課程。實驗結果顯示,所有學生都喜歡 電腦輔助教學及課程內容、他們於學習的過程中,並未遭遇郅極大的困難。然而他們建議在 某些部份課程內容,希望有老師能提供個別的輔助。從學生們對本課程的學習行為及反應結 果顯示,本項研究是成功的。它開啟了體育學院將電腦的技術,應用到英語教學課程以及其 他課程上的開端。同時老師們應該增加時間協助學生們學習,以及開放更多的辦公間時,為 他們輔導。 |
英文摘要 | The department of sports science training of the National College of Physical Education and Sports (NCPES) in Taiwan enrolls many excellent student athletes from senior or technical high schools. This study was to create an English course Spoken Sports English to help student athletes learn English effectively and efficiently. This English course had two traits which made it different from other spoken English courses. First, it focused in content on sports; and second, it applied computer technology. As a result, students could learn this course at their own pace and at a convenient time on the computer. The test results showed that almost all students successfully accomplished the course. All students reported that they liked Computer-Aided Instruction (CAI) and the content of sports. They did not encounter great difficulties in working through the lessons. However, they also suggested that it was important to have the instructor available to explain and provide individual support to particular sections. Students' learning performance and their response to this course led to the conclusion that this project was successful. It set up an opening for the application of CAI in English and other subjects at NCPES. It was recommended that instructors should augment student on-line time with supplementary activities, and extend office hours for consultation. |
