中文摘要 | 在臺灣,四年制大學觀光教育的施行已有三十餘年。近年來,由於臺灣經濟的高 度發展,已直接或間接促使觀光服務業在質與量的大量需求。政府為因應此一趨勢,便不遺 餘力的開發觀光資源及提升觀光服務業的產品品質,其作法之一是加強觀光從業人員的培 訓。如此也促使了臺灣四年制大學觀光相關科系的增設。 雖然觀光人才需求大增,然而大學觀光教育卻無法機動的,適時的,在整體課程的規劃 與設備更新方面有所回應,以致學生在校所學與業界所需出現落差,如此暴露出了觀光教育 資源的浪費。因此,本研究之目的乃針此問題,以四個研究主題去探討問題所在,並根據研 究結果提出適當建議。本研究之四個主題如下: 1.學生選讀觀光科系的考慮因素。 2.觀光科系學生就業的考慮因素。 3.從事觀光服務業的學識與技能需求。 4.觀光科系所授予課程的受益程度分析。 本研究以臺灣四年制觀光科系大四學生為樣本;針對四個研究主題設計問卷,並經由問卷調 查獲得資料,最後以SPSS軟體分析之。本研究發現除四個研究主題外,另也針對觀光科系學 生將來所希望的就業領域,部門及日後深造方向等作調查。本研究以學生的意見為導向,期 望有助益於臺灣日後四年制觀光科系學生的就業發展,課程編排,及觀光服務業者的校園徵才。 |
英文摘要 | Four-year hospitality and tourism management programs have been established in Taiwan for three decades. Due to the thriving economy in Taiwan, the need for hospitality services has been greatly increased. Consequently, the needs for hospitality service manpower in quality and quantity are increased. During the last decade, hospitality and tourism management education programs have been increased, however, the lack of facilities and up-to-date information have been revealed as a problem in the development of hospitality education. Moreover, the turnover rate in the hospitality industry was increasing. It has been questioned that does the hospitality education provide counseling or guidance to the students before they join the industry. Therefore, there is a need to study four-year hospitality and tourism management programs students' career choices and curriculum design in Taiwan. The purpose of this study was to provide information on the four objectives: (1) to determine the factors influencing a student's enrollment in a hospitality and tourism management program; (2) to determine the considerations influencing a student selection of a company in the hospitality industry; (3) to determine the skills and knowledge believed necessary for success in the hospitality industry; and (4) to evaluate the obtained benefits by class types in the hospitality and tourism management education, as identified by senior students at the four-year hospitality and tourism management programs in Taiwan. The research design for this study was quasi-experimental. Senior students enrolled in the hospitality and tourism management programs were sampled. Questionnaires were distributed in classes. The data were analyzed by SPSS. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square, and the one way ANOVA were applied in this study. According to the results of the research, hospitality institutions can adjust their curriculum to support the students' skills and knowledge needs and prepare students for a belier future in the hospitality industry. |
