英文摘要 | The aim of this study was to investigate changes of different waves in electroencephalogram (EEG) at the Lifescan brain activity monitor during anaesthetic stages in order to identify parameters for early detection of awareness. Hence, a three-level hierarchical monitoring of EEG signals has been proposed to analyse the raw EEg signals using aperiodic analysis via the Lifescan machine, to filter the noise using the threshold value via the signal processing of the built-in filter inside the machine, and to extract the factors describing the changes in frequenclies and total power for each epoch in order to identify the awareness status during operation. In order to assess the difference between three stages, which are "before induction". "stable maintenance" and "after recover" of the changes in EEG waves (i.e., beta, alpha, sub-alpha, theta and delta), eight patients had been tested in this system during tubal embryo transfer surgery. The Student's test showed all these waves either between "before induction" and "stable maintenance" or between "stable maintenance" and "after recovery" had significant differencs (i.e. P<0.05) except theta wave. It also showed all these waves between "before induction" and "after recovery" had no significant differences (i.e. P>0.05). Those mean that the mean (SD) of the mean percentage of the beta, alpha, sub-alpha and delta waves in 8 patients' EEG signals can be distinguished either between "befor induction" and "stable maintenance" or between "stable maintenance" and "after recovery" Particularly, the mean (SD) of the mean percentage of the beta wave for "before induction". "stable maintenance" and "after recovery" were 73.43(4.84) %, 42.26(8.31) % and 72.14(7.19) %, respectively, which was thought a better indicator than other waves for early detection of the awareness because its coefficient variance (CV) of these three stages were less than other waves'CV. |
