英文摘要 | This paper illustrates some necessary methodologies and techniques for design, simulation, and manufacturing of light-weight products using the combined diffusion bonding and superplastic forming methods. The focus is on determining the critical ingredients needed by the industry to establish such advanced technology. Discussion of the related issues includes product design and analysis, process design and superplastic simulation, a method for determining the stress-strain rate relation by means of a simple superplastic inflation test, and initial shape determination of the preform using the optimization technique. Difficulties encountered in actual production are identified and overcome. Mechanical properties, including the bonding strength, bending resistance, and fatigue strength, of the fabricated components are characterized by experiments and finite element calculations. |
