中文摘要 | 本文分為三部份,第一部份探討臺灣地區的大學教育之所以推動通識教育的主因 ,在於臺灣社會已失去了一個共同的、整體的文化觀,簡言之,即是因分過細的大學教育趨 向專業化的結果,已出現了「文化分裂」的現象。第二部份重點在分析通識教育的基本內涵 及其理想。就其基本內涵而言,通識教育的重點應避免專業化、世儈化、「唯用、唯利」導 向的教育,而應在於探究人類共同的、永恆的問題為職志。並以培養具通貫統觀能力、具通 達識見、具深度關懷情操的全人為理想。第三部份,提出通識教育在各大學推行時顯而易見 的、普遍的缺失。這些缺失導致通識教育的理想大打折扣! |
英文摘要 | This study consists of three major parts:The first part discusses why the university education of Taiwan is striving to promote general education. It is primarily due to the fact that Taiwanese society has lost the common base and overall concept of culture. In is primarily due to the fact that Taiwanese society has lost the common divided courses are offered in the universities. The so-caled "Culture Disunion" phenomenon has emerged already. The second part attempts to analyze the implications and ideals of general education. In speaking of the implication, general education should avoid professionalization; wordlization and utilitarianism oriented education. It should study and research the common and eternal issues of humankind and cultivate a perfect person with the ability of thorough understanding, and a very considerate mind. Third part depicts a apparent and universal shortcomings committed in promotion of general education as it is executed in Taiwan universities. Consequently, these defects have crippled the ideals of general education greatly. |
