英文摘要 | Laser-Doppler velocimetry, pressure, ans power measurements are presented of fluid flow through an industrial centrifugal fan. The roughness of the internal surfaces and the tongue gap of the centrifugal fan examined are varied to study their effects on the fan performance. Experimental results indicate that a reduction of roughness from 1.6μm to 0.05μm results in approximately 3.1 percent increase of fan's maximum total-pressure efficiency, 3.5 percent increase of fan's total-pressure efficiency under design condition, 13 percent maximum increase in total-pressure efficiency under off-design conditions, and 20 percent increase in the high-efficiency operating range. An optimal dimensionless tongue gap is found to be 27 percent. Consequently, the gongue gap and the roughness is a significantly factor influence the performance. If the maunfacturer can reduce the roughness, the performance and the high-efficiency operating range could be increase, then enhance the market competitiveness. |
