中文摘要 | 企業的規模,其制約組織結構對管理風格效用的影響,在我國目前的環境下實際情況究竟如何?這是本研究的核心問題。本研究的具體作法是,對臺北縣市地區製造業以隨機抽樣及特意選擇兩種並用,擇定至少橫跨三十二種產業之192家工廠為樣本,就彼等之規模、組織結構、管理風格、與組織績效進行問卷調查與面訪,並就取得之資料進行相關分析、節制迴歸分析、及F和t檢定,取得如下之主要實證結論:就臺灣製造業組織而言:1.若組織規模小(500人以下),其為有機結構者,則增加管理風格的興業取向,將正面影響其績效;反之,其為機械結構者,則增加管理風格的興業取向,將負面影響其績效。以上關係在規模擴大後則不成立。2.組織結構與管理風格適配者,其組織績效優於不適配者。此一假設在小規模製造業(500人以下)並不成立;而非小規模之製造業,則成立與否尚無足夠之證據加以確認。 |
英文摘要 | How will size condition the influence of organization structure on the utility of a management style under current environment in Taiwan? It is the major problem this research would solve. Our concrete approach to conduct the research is taking 192 plants across at least 32 different industries in Taipei area as sample, and doing survey on it for collecting data of organization structure, size management style and performance. After conducting correlation analysis, moderated regression analysis, and F and t tests, the major conclusions drawn from those data are as follows: 1. The organically-structured manufacturing firms, if size is small, increases in top management's entrepreneurial orientation will positively influence performance; in mechanistically-structured manufacturing firms, increases in top management's entrepreneurial orientation will negatively influence performance. The foregone relation will not be valid if firms size is not small. 2. The following statement that "Manufacturing firms in which the organization structure is congruent with the management style will perform significantly better than firms in which these variables are incongruent." Will not be valid if firm size is small; on the other hand, if firm size is not small, the validation of foregone statement will be inconclusive. |
