中文摘要 | 計量模式之實用性一直是商學教育及實務應用中受質疑最多之一門管理工具。主要原因乃在其推演過程往往過於理論。本篇論文乃在借一實務問題在有限資源及時間下為求得適用解答所使用之計量模式推演過程,藉以闡釋淺要理論應用於計量模式推演乃獲得相當實用之效果。中正機場國際旅客入境證檢櫃台數之規劃乃服務設施需求規劃(Service Facility Requirement Planning)之實務問題。在實務分析上,服務設施需求規劃之方法往往依循預測尖峰時段顧客流量及設施之預期服務速率,簡單分析決定,並無考慮服務水準或服務速率之影響。然而服務設施之多寡,往往取決於管理階層要求服務水準之高低以及設施服務速率之快慢。因此,如能將服務水準及服務速率與服候設施數間之互易關係在規劃方法上予以考慮,將使規劃方法及規劃結果更為完備。服務系統種類甚多,中正機場國際旅客入境證檢櫃台灣之規劃可歸屬尖峰時段固定顧客需求服務系統予以探討。本文將針對尖峰時段固定顧客需求之作業環境下,考慮服務速率、服務水準及服務設施量間之關係,探討在不同條件下,應用淺要理論所進行之服務設施需求量設定計量模式推演過程所得之結果。 |
英文摘要 | The practicability of the quantitative modeling process has been questioned by many business educators and practitioners. The major reason is that the modeling process is overly theoretical and thus not practical. This paper provides a practical example implementing successfully a quantitative modeling process based purely on very fundamental theories. The example shows that the quantitative modeling process, if used properly, can achieve fairly robust results. Due to the characteristic of the entry and exit of the airport passengers, i.e., the arrivals of the passengers at the same time in the peak time period, we have applied a quantitative modeling process in the determination of the number of the check-in counters of the international arrival passengers for the CKS airport. In planning the requirement of the service facilities of a new service operation, simple planning methods considering the forecasted customer flow and the expected service rates of the facilities are often adopted in practice. However, these existing methods do not take into consideration the level of service which is often determined by the management and the impact of the change in the service rates. If the trade-off relationship between the service level and the service facility requirements and the impact of the service rate change can be integrated into the planning methods, the planning methods and the subsequent analytical results can be improved. Based on the given characteristics of the investigated service system, we have modelled the mathematical relationships among the required number of the service facility、the level of service and the service rate under several situations. In conclusion, we discuss the applicability and the restrictions of the quantitative modeling process in this example. |
