英文摘要 | This paper is to predict the sound transmission loss of walls in building by using the mass law in acoustics. Therefore, the comparison of the predicted sound transmission loss of the adopted walls with those of the measured ones is worked out first in order to detailedly understand the influence of those influential factors including mass of wall, its thickness and the frequency of incident sound wave, etc. on the transmission loss involved. Regarding the study on the transmission loss of walls and its dependence on frequency, two walls of a single and a double layers are selected. Meanwhile, their laboratory measurements in a randomly incident acoustic fieid are also made. As regards to the prediction model of the randomly incident sound transmission loss for a double-layered walls, it can be expressed as: TLm2=18 log fm+20 log[f2md/(10 log f2m-38)]-103 In the above prediction formula, the variation of the sound transmission loss of wall with both its mass and the thickness of used air cavity is clearly shown. Finally, the compared result of the calculated transmission loss with those of its related measured one for the double-layered wall clearly shows that the mass law is applicable for the prediction of sound transmission loss at frequency below the corresponding frequency of coincidence. |
