英文摘要 | Coixenolide was quantitatively determined by GC analysis of 2, 3-butanediol, which was liberated from coixenolide by acid-actalyzed transesterification of adlay oil. Acetone was more efficient for the extraction of coixenolide from dehulled adlay than was diethyl ether, n-hexane and folch's solution. One gram of acetone extract was dissolved in 20 mL of 7% methanolic HCI solution (w/w), and the mixture was then refluxed in a water bath at 100℃ for 4 hr. to prevent the loss of 2, 3-butanediol in vacuum concentration, the final volume of the concentrated solution was kept at no less than 1 mL. The recovery of 2, 3-butanediol in the entire analytical procedure was approximately 93%. The coixenolide content of dehulled adlay of Taichung Shuenyu No. 4 was found to be approximately 81 ppm by this method. |
