中文摘要 | 木瓜(Carica papaya L.)種子採收後進行去除假種皮,乾燥及GA₃等處理,以探求提高發芽率及促進發芽速率的最適種子預措方法。先後進行五個試驗,共採用8批種子(seed lots)。發芽試驗採用紙間法,溫度30℃。結果如下。 1.含假種皮的新鮮種子於置床後21天尚未能發芽,雖經乾燥或GA₃處理,其發芽率只有20%,促進效果甚低。 2.去除假種皮的新鮮種子,發芽率依然只有14%,經5~10天乾燥處理可提高發芽率至27-59%。 3.去除假種皮的種子以GA₃處理可以有效的提高發芽率及發芽速率,GA₃處理的最適濃度為500 ppm。 4.去除假種皮的種子經35℃乾燥8天候,只要250 ppm GA₃處理24小時就可完全達到促進發芽之目的,發芽率達99%。但發芽速率仍慢(0.143天¯¹),其到達G(subscript 50)所需時間為7天,而500 ppm處理者僅需4天。 5. 去除假種皮的種子經室內陰乾或35℃風乾處理都可以促進發芽,但尚無法確定何者的促進效果較佳。 |
英文摘要 | This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of sarcotesta removal, gibberellic acid (GA₃) and drying treatments on the germination of papaya (Carica papaya L.) seeds in order to obtain an optimum seed pretreatments. Fresh papaya seeds with intact sarcotesta did not germinate 21 days after incubation. Drying and GA₃ treatment increased the percentage germination to 20%. The removal of sarcotesta could improved the percentage germination to 14%, and was further improved to 27-59% after 7-10 days of drying. GA₃ treatments at 500 ppm effectively promoted the percentage germination and the rate of germination of seeds without sarcotesta. In some cases, the treatment of 250 ppm GA₃ for 24 h might promote the percentage germination up to 99%, however, the germination rate was relatively slow. The effect of drying method of papaya seed at room temperature or 35℃ was variable depending on the seed lots and testing conditions. |
