| 英文摘要 | Individuals with intellectual disabilities encounter various challenges in education, employment, and independent living due to limited cognitive abilities and difficulties adapting to their environment. Barriers impacting the participation of this demographic in sports include personal health issues, communication and learning difficulties, the supportive attitudes of caregivers or relevant personnel, environmental constraints, and community acceptance. The purpose of this article is to examine the challenges associated with sports participation among individuals with intellectual disabilities. It aims to share how social welfare organizations create inclusive sports environments through transdisciplinary team approach, provide appropriate opportunities for leisure and sports activities, and further enhance their community participation, ultimately achieving the goal of social inclusion. |
