中文摘要 | 語言教學上,提升低成就學習者的動機是教育者的重大課題。實際操作上,如何去洞察語言學習者的需求,進而增強其學習動機卻是個困難的議題,而要處理此難題就要以堅實的理論知識作為根基,才得以適切的調整教學方式與策略。針對語言學習動機所研究的相關理論為數眾多,且各有其獨特的論點,但很少有研究將這些觀點或主張做出詳細的統整,因此本文研究者以系統化方式結合相關理論與模型,以文獻回顧法作為研究方法,廣泛探討並分析歸納相關研究,除了針對各理論與模型之內容及特性做一回顧性研討,也提出相關教學改進之應用,作為語言教育者教學實務之參考依據。 |
英文摘要 | The aim of this study was to review existing research literature and in doing so suggest second/foreign language teachers to pay much attention to the needs and motivation of learners. The paper discusses Vygotsky’s theory, Gardner’s model, Clement’s model, Dornyei’s model, acculturation model, social identity theory, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, internal and external factors, as well as self-determination theory. The implications of each theory or model provide profound insight for the success of language teaching. The results of this research might serve as a valuable reference for instructional innovation in higher education. |
