中文摘要 | 美語教程(ALC)向來為國軍從事英語訓練之教學工具,而配合教學所使用之ALCPT 測驗題組則是用以評量受訓人員學習成效或預期規劃出國受訓人員之英文程度。然而,ALCPT 測驗題組現已為多數國軍英訓單位直接當作訓練教材使用,此種作法不僅使該測驗題組成為補習班式之填鴨式學習材料,亦無視美國國防語文中心(DLIFLC)所規定該題組不得作為教材使用之政策。本研究為空軍官校韓子祥老師所主持96 年國軍專案研究之分項計畫,其目的乃在藉國防語文中心96 年英文儲訓班次春季班學員之英文訓練成效及語言技能之運用,探討國軍英語訓練之現況。本研究借重韓老師所設計之問卷作為研究工具,以描述性統計對上述研究樣本所蒐集得來之資料進行分析。期待藉由本篇研討,喚起眾人對國軍現行英語訓練之省思,使受訓人員多能由意識學習提昇為更有助於實際運用之潛意識學習,以匡正國軍多數單位為突顯教學成效所採取之急就章英語訓練模式。 |
英文摘要 | American Language Course(ALC)has been used as English teaching and learning material in the ROC Armed Forces for a long time. The coupled placement test booklet ALCPT is used to justify the learning performance of the trainees or the English proficiency level of the test taker for training aboard. However, ALCPT booklets, for some reasons, have been taken as teaching materials, pertinently speaking, used as cram stuff materials, which not only mislead or bring English learning development into a myth but also neglect the policy, governed by DLIFLC, using ALCPT for periodical proficiency test only. This study, an affiliated project of the annual defense development study program, 2007, led by Dr. Han, Tsu-hsiang(韓子祥)at Air Force Academy, aims to discuss the current English training phenomena in the ROC Armed Forces through the English learning performance evaluated in terms of ALCPT tests taken by the trainees of English Preparatory Course, Spring Class, 2007, in the DLI, MND, as well as their self assessment of language skills. This study relies much on the questionnaire provided and designed by Dr. Han, using descriptive method to analyze the surveyed information gathered from the trainees stated above as study samples. With this paper, we expect to raise more reflection on turning the learner’s perceptional learning to a subliminal language acquisition for effective language training rather than statistically exaggerated English learning performance as seen in most English training programs in the ROC Armed Forces. |
