中文摘要 | 技職院校學生多數來自高職,其所接受的英文能力訓練相當有限,因此多年以來學生之英文學習成效普遍低落。爲提升學生之英文能力,朝陽科技大學於95學年度針對大一新生實施大一基礎英文分級教學,分級依據爲外語中心命題小組所編製之全校性大一英文安置測驗(Placement test)。本研究從多個面向檢驗此安置測驗之可靠性及穩定性,首先本研究針對試題進行信度、難易度與鑑別度的分析。此外,本研究進一步將安置測驗的結果分別與大一新生英語科入學統測成績及線上初級英檢模擬測驗成績進行相關性分析。另,針對大一學生實施安置測驗問卷調查以瞭解本校學生對安置測驗的態度。研究結果顯示本校自編之安置測驗的信度爲0.808,試題之穩定性及可靠性佳;試題難易度屬中等,符合本校學生程度;鑑別度達0.3以上的試題佔整體試卷的65%。而安置測驗與四技二專英語科入學統一測驗及線上初級英檢模擬測驗結果的相關性分析顯示爲中度正相關,此說明本測驗的試題本身具有一定的公信力。而經由問卷調查結果得知,受測學生對整體的安置測驗持正面的態度。多數學生了解安置測驗的目的,且對施測流程感到滿意,也認知其重要性並能認真作答。 |
英文摘要 | In 2006, Chaoyang University of Technology administrated an English placement test, made by Foreign Language Center (FLC), to level freshmen and place them in appropriate English classrooms. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Freshman English placement test at Chaoyang University of Technology by the following aspects: 1)To examine the reliability, difficulty and discrimination of the placement test; 2) To examine the correlation between the placement test and Technological and Vocational Joint College Entrance Examination; 3) To examine the correlation between the placement test and on-line basic GEPT simulated examination; 4) To investigate students' attitude toward the placement test. The results indicate that the placement test made by FLC is stable and reliable. The test difficulty is intermediate which is appropriate for leveling freshmen at Chaoyang University of Technology. In addition, the placement test has a significant positive correlation with Technological and Vocational Joint College Entrance Examination and on-line basic GEPT simulated examination. Furthermore, the survey results indicate that most students well understood the purpose and the importance of the placement test. They were also satisfied with the test procedures and viewed the placement test seriously. |
