中文摘要 | 文獻指出,還原蝦紅素 (astaxanthin ) 之抗氧化能力較β胡蘿蔔素強。本研究目的在探討不同劑量的還原蝦紅素對老化促進小鼠體內抗氧化狀態之影響。實驗選用6月齡之雄性老化促進小鼠 (senescence accelerated mice; SAMP8) 為對象,分為對照組及含0.01%、0.025% Astaxanthin組,為期16週。實驗期間記錄體重變化及攝食量。動物犧牲後,取肝和腦組織檢測超氧歧化酶 (superoxide dismutase; SOD) 活性。結果顯示體重及攝食量三組間並無顯著差異。在體內抗氧化酵素活性方面,0.025%Astaxanthin組之肝臟SOD活性顯著高於對照組 (p <0.05),而腦部之SOD活性三組間雖無達顯著差異,但0.025%Astaxanthin組比其它兩組有較高之趨勢。因此本研究發現還原蝦紅素可提高老化促進小鼠體內肝臟及腦部抗氧化防禦系統。 |
英文摘要 | Astaxanthin of antioxidative ability was stronger than ß-carotene. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of astaxanthin supplement on antioxidative status in senescence accelerated mice (SAMP8). Six-month-old male mice were divided into three groups: casein diet group (control group) and casein diet supplemented with 0.01 %, 0.025%Astaxanthin. After 16 weeks feeding, body weight and food intake were performed during the experiment. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of liver and brain were analyzed after sacrificed. The results showed that body weight and food intake were no significantly among three groups. The SOD activity of liver in the 0.025% Astaxanthin group was higher than control group (P<0.05). The SOD activity of brain was no significantly among three groups, but in the 0.025% Astaxanthin group was higher than 0.01 % Astaxanthin and control group. In summary, we conclude the supply of Astaxanthin may improve antíoxidative system on liver and brain in SAMP8 mice. |
