中文摘要 | 維歌思基(Vygotsky)的社會文化理論(Sociocultural Theory)在近三十年來,漸漸受到西方學者的重視。近來,尤其有一些第二語言認知的學者更以此理論來解釋第二語言認知的現象。因此,本文將介紹社會文化理論中的數個重要觀念,例如媒介作用(mediation)、認知發展潛能區(Zone of proximal development)、私人及內在語言(private and inner speech),以及活動理論(activity theory)。本文也將討論上述這些觀念被應用於第二語言認知研究、教學及電腦輔助英語教學的潛力及可能性。 |
英文摘要 | Sociocultural theory has had a critical impact on the research in various fields of studieds such as cognitive development and literacy in western societies for the past three decades. Recently there is a growing body of research on Second Language Acquistion (SLA) informed by sociocultural theory as well. Therefore, it is important to obtain an understanding of sociocultural theory. In this paper, I focus on explaining a number of key concepts of sociocultural theory-mediation, the zone of proximal development, private and inner speech, and activity theory. This paper also discusses the potential impact of those concepts on SLA research, teaching methods and computer assisted language learning (CALL). |
