中文摘要 | 當前電子通訊科技發達,使得教育克服了以往時空的阻隔。網際網路打開了通往無限延伸的知識領域。學生不必出遠門即可收視數千里外的線上課程,獲得最新的資訊。電子視訊會議亦使位於不同國家地區的主持人與與會者同步討論事宜。教育界也感受到科技所帶來之衝擊而產生變革。電腦輔助教學、電腦管理教學、電腦輔助語言學習、多元媒體教學等等都是應運而生的教學應用。學校教學未來的角色勢必因此調整。 臺灣自民國九十一年一月正式成為「世界貿易組織」(WTO)的會員,與國際政治、經濟的互動將更為頻繁,因此,成為國際談判、跨文化溝通主要工具的外語能力訓練與養成也益形重要。以現今外語科系林立,專業師資及教學可運用資源不足,教育夥伴結盟、教學系統規劃應是當務之急。 有鑑於此,作者以過去三年來規劃應用外語系之經驗,草擬中長程教學計畫,規劃E化語言教學系統、並提供教學課程範例供教學同仁參考。 |
英文摘要 | Current electronic and telecommunication technologies have overcome the temporal and spatial barriers of learning. The Internet has opened the field leading to the infinite extension of knowledge domain. Thus, students may have online access to the latest information without even going out. Moreover, teleconferencing enables hosts to hold a panel discussion with participants thousand miles away. Education has also transformed itself in sync with technological breakthroughs in the past few decades. Computer-assisted instruction (CAI), computer-managed instruction (CMI), computer-assisted language learning (CALL), and multimedia instruction are just some applications of technology in education. Foreign language competency, particularly in international negotiation and cross-cultural communication, will become pivotal and decisive, as Taiwan is to interact presumably more frequently with other members of WTO in the international platform. Educational partnership and coalition among academic institutions as well as educational planning for an instructional system seem sine qua non as educational resources and qualified professional faculty members are becoming inadequate due to recent bourgeoning extension and expansion of applied foreign language department in Taiwan. A tentative electronic learning system is proposed to address to the future plan for educational development, based upon the experience in educational planning for the Applied Foreign Languages Department in the past three years. An example of the prototype courseware unit for the instructional system is provided for reference. |
