英文摘要 | Osteopontin genotypes of 596 parous sows were determined with microsatellite marker by PCR in this study. A single hand produced after PCR was designated as homotype and two hands as heterotype for osetopontin genotype. Percentages of 354 Landrace, 131 Yorkshire and 111 Duroc sows with homotype were 81.6, 41.2 and 49.6%, respectively. Survival rate of newborn piglets was designated as the percentage of number of surviving piglets to number of births 48 hours after sow farrowing. Heterotypic Landrace sows with 85.6 ± 0.7% of surviving piglets was similar to that of 85.8 ± 1.3% from homotypic sows. Yorkshire and Duroc sows with osteopontin heterotype had 84.4 ± 1.1% and 84.5 ± 1.4% survival rate for their newborn piglets which both were significantly greater than that of homotypic sows (79.4 ± 1.6% and 79.4 ± 1.5%, P<0.013). When the comparison of survival rate was made on piglets born from homotypic and heterotypic sows with a same parity, there were no significant differences in first to third parity (P>0.05) but significantly in fourth to seventh parity (P <0.05) in Yorkshire breed. For Duroc sows, survival rate of piglets born from heterotypic sows was significantly higher than that from homotypic sows in the first parity, but a similar rate in the second parity and a higher rat with no significance from third to seventh parity. For Landrace sows, no significant difference was observed from first to seventh parity. Osteopontin gene could be considered to be a genetic marker for the improvement on survivability of newborns in Yorkshire breed because of a higher survival rate of piglets born by heterotypic sows 48 hours after the birth of piglets. |
