英文摘要 | GPI (Glucose phosphate isomerase) and PGD (6-Phosphogluconate dehydrogenase) loci are located at chromosome 6 in pigs and both of them have allele A and B. Hence, the corresponding genotypes for each locus are AA, AB and BB. A total of 10,220 pigs for growth performance test at the Swine Nuclear Herd of Taiwan Livestock Research Institute was genotyped for GPI and PGD, which consisted of 5,000 Landrace, 2,578 Yorkshire, 2,482 Duroc and 160 Berkshire pigs. Frequencies of GPI-AA, -AB and -BB genotypes were 2.18, 23.60 and 74.22%, respectively, and PGD-AA, -AB and -BB genotypes were 48.00, 41.96 and 10.04% in Landrace breed. In Yorkshire breed, frequencies of GPI-AA, -AB and -BB were 44.92, 46.35 and 8.73%, respectively, and 44.80, 44.69 and 10.51% for PGD-AA, -AB and -BB.
