中文摘要 | 本研究旨在:(1)探討大一新生的生活適應狀況及人格特質。(2)比較不同背景的大一新生,在生活適應、人格特質上的差異。(3)探討大一新生的人格特質、生活適應及學業成績的關係,並找出影響學業成績的主要因素。基於本研究的需要,1199位八十二及八十三學年度入學新生,經叢集取樣的方式被抽取為本研究的受試者,所得資料經考驗、變異數分析、積差相關、多元迴歸及逐步迴歸處理後,得到下列結論:(1)不同背景變項的大一新生,在生活狀況上部份有顯著的差異。(2)不同性別、院別的大一新生,在人格特質上部份有顯著的差異。(3)大一新生的人格特質與生活狀況部份有顯著的相關o(4)大一新生的人格特質與學業成績部份有顯著的相關。(5) 大一新生的生活狀況與學業部份有顯著的相關。(6)大一新生的人格特質對生活狀況有預測力。(7)大一新生的人格特質對學業成績具有預測力。(8)大一新生的生活狀況對學業成績具有預測力。根據本研究的結論,及研究過程所遭遇的問題,研究者提出建議,以供輔導實務或未來研究的參考。 |
英文摘要 | The purposes of this study were to: (l)examine the adjustment and the personality trait of university freshmen; (2) compare the difference of the adjustment and the personality trait related to the background variables of freshmen ; (3)explore the relationships among personality trait, adjustment,and achievement as well as to examine the main variable impacted the academic achievement. 1199 subjects were selected by cluster sampling from Chung Yuan Christian University in 1993 and 1994 semesters. The data were analyzed by t test, analysis of variance, Pearson-product correlation, multiple regression, and stepwise regression. The major findings of this study were as follow: (1)In comparison with background variables, sev- eral significant differences were found in the life adjustment of freshmen. (2) In comparison with gender or graduate vari ables, several significant differences were found in the personality traits of freshmen. (3) Several significant relationships were found between the personility traits and the life adjustment of freshmen. (4) Several significant relationships were found between the personality traits and the academic achievement. (5) Several significant relationships were found between the life adjustment and the academic achieve- ment. (6) The personality traits of freshment could partly predict the life adjustment. (7) The personality traits of freshment could partly predict the academic achievement. (8) The life adjustment of freshment could partly predict the academic achievement. Based on the findings, implications for counseling practice on university campus and future research are also discussed. |
