中文摘要 | 隨著網際網路的蓬勃發展,提供遠距學習功能的虛擬教室逐漸增加,但是有關虛擬教室使用者界面設計原則的研究卻不是很成熟。本文以外語教室為個案,探討目前虛擬教室中使用者界面設計原則。根據遠距學習理論、虛擬教室環境和使用界面理論、設計原則、設計指引和可用性評估形成六大因素七十個變數的評估準則,再以四家代表不同使用族群的虛擬外語室為個案,利用評估準則逐一評估並計算其達成率,然後由縱向平均達成率和橫向因素平均達成率加以分析歸納其使用者界面原則,結果發現:設計者最重視使用者界面設計原則是一致性(達成率有89.3%)其次為清晰性(達成率有68.2%):設計者最不重視的依序為多人交談性、容錯性、回饋性和使用者控制因素(其達成率分別為27.3%,28.6%,36.4%,39.6%):多人交談性應可成為虛擬教室成功關鍵條件之一。另一方面,在教室使用者界面平均達成率隨使用對象非專業化和學習理論的偏故事化而有逐漸增加趨勢,顯示對於非專業學習者和採用故事化學習理論的虛擬教室愈重視使用者界面。 |
英文摘要 | Virtual classrooms, providing distance learning, are becoming more promising in current cyberspace. However, studies concerning user interface design in virtual classrooms are immature. This research, using foreign language classrooms as examples, involves a study of user interface design principles in virtual classrooms. The study begins with a survey of distance learning theory and user interface design theory, principles, guidelines and usability to form the evaluation criteria with 6 factors and 70 variables, and then analyzes user interface features by applying the criteria to 4 representative virtual classrooms. Furthermore, it infers user interface design principles from average reach rates of classrooms and average reach rates of factors. Finally, the findings conclude that consistency and clarity are the factors emphasized by designers of virtual classrooms. The average reach rate of factors is 89.3% and 68.2%, respectively. However, user-chat, fault-tolerance, feedback and user-control consisting of 27.3%, 28.6%, 36.4%, 39.6% of the average reach rate of factors, respectively, are less emphasized by designers of virtual classrooms. The user-chat factor may become one of the key success factors for virtual classrooms. In addition, the average reach rate of classrooms increases, especially, when the target users of virtual classrooms are non-professional learners, and when teaching material is story-based. |
