英文摘要 | The purpose of this investigation is to study the effect of lime, phosphorus and nitrogen on the growth of milk vetch. The field experiments were carried out on the University Experimental Farm at Taipei. The phosphatic fertilizers used are superphosphate, fused phosphate and nitrophosphate, and the nitrogenous fertilzers used are ammonium sulfate, urea, sodium nitrate, calcium cyanamide and ammonium calcium nitrate. From the experimental data, the following conclusions were obtained. 1. The results of all the three field experiments including that of WAN and CHANG show that on soils at pH about 5.3, liming significantly, increases the yield of milk vetch. 2. The growth of milk vetch responses to phosphatic fertilizers significantly on soils with low phosphorus level. 3. The application of ammonium nitrogen effectively depresses the growth of milk vetch, while the effects of nitrate nitrogen and organic nitrogen such as urea and calcium cyanamide are not significant. 4. Application of nitrophosphate causes a significant decreases in the yield of milk vetch in comparison with application of superphosphate alone or check. This may be due to the ammonium nitrogen contained in the nitrophosphate. |
