| 英文摘要 | Field experiments of double split plot design were carried out at Chung-Li and Ping-Cheng to investigate the effect of lime, phosphate, and inoculation on the growth of legume plants, Glycine koidzumii and Vicia dasycarpa. A green-house study was carried out during the same time at Taipei for the same purpose but different treatments. In the field experiments, liming with different rates and methods of application were set in the main plots, three levels of phosphate in the subplots, and the inoculation treatments in the plots. The green-house study had four treatments, i.e., two treatments of liming and phosphate application with and without inoculation. From the experimental data, the following facts can be obtained: (1) Broad cast of lime with 5 tons/ha had a better effect on the fresh weight both of Glycine koidzumii and Vicia dasycarpa than band application of lime with 500 kg/ha. The rates of phosphate and inoculation treatments had no significant effect on the fresh weight both of the two plants in the field experiments. (2) In the green-house study, liming and phosphate application had a significant effect on the fresh weight both of the two plants. Inoculation, however, had a significant effect on the fresh weight only of Vicia dasycarpa plant with improved soil ferfility. (3) The results of the field experiments showed no marked difference in the number and dry weight of nodules among the treatments. In the green-house study there was much more number and higher weight of nodules in the plots with high fertility than in those with low fertility. The nodules of the two legume plants, however, showed no significant response to the inoculation treatments, no matter how the fertility level was. (4) Liming increased soil pH value by 1.5 to 2.0. Phosphate application rates did not change the level of available phosphorous content in the soil to a considerable extent. |
