英文摘要 | This study uses granular activated carbon (GAC) minicolumns to determine the amount of atrazine adsorbed. With an influent concentration of 10μg/L, the amount of atrazine adsorbed on the minicolumns (0.6 to 2.4mg/g, depending upon the GAC particle size) was 8-77% less than the capacity calculated from the batch adsorption isotherms (2.6mg/g). It is observed that the amount of atrazine adsorbed decreases as the diameter of the GAC particle increases. The results obtained seem in reasonable agreement with concentrations of atrazine found at the top of a filter-adsorber and post-contactor previously operated for 30 weeks at Waterford Water Works, NY, where the amounts of atrazine adsorbed were measured as 0.7 and 0.5mg/g, respectively. |
