英文摘要 | The predictions of the real contact area and load due to the change of relative mating of two surfaces are studied in this paper. Both the rough surfaces are simulated using the W-M function derived from the fractal theory. The contact simulations are performed by pressing a flat plate against an equivalent rough surface. The results show that the surface roughness of the equivalent rough surface vary in a similar way as the surface conformity does. However, the power law relation A□-L□ and the steady value of the real contact pressure remains effective in every contact case, independent of the change of the mating position between two rough surfaces. |
