英文摘要 | The Taiwan Power Company (TAIPOWER) and NREC have jointly conducted a gas turbine engine research program. The focus of this research program was on the life of the first stage turbine rotor blading within a Siemens V84.2 gas turbine. TAIPOWER has been requested to change out this rotor blading on a regular basis, typically about 25,000 to 33,000 EOH's (Equivalent Operating Hours). A set of replacement blading for these engines is very expensive and the costs to shutdown the engines, disassemble them, and replace the blading are very high. A better understanding of the characteristics of these blades was desired in order to determine if the period of time between blade replacements can be increased. TAIPOWER disassembled one of their units as part of a normally scheduled overhaul. Internal measurements were made to define the geometry of key internal components. Two blades were taken from the set of first stage rotor blades being replaced, and these were measured and subjected to metallurgical analyses. Data on the gas turbine operation were also collected ans used to analyze the performances of the combustor, turbine stages, and overall gas turbine cycle. With these analyses as a basis, the heat transfer rates on the external and internal surfaces of the blades were estimated and then used to generate a finite element model of the blades. These models produced temperature and stress distributions which were then used to predict the life of the first stage turbine rotor blades. The analytical results tend to support the current blade replacement practice as recommended by Siements. The analyses predicts life for these blades of about between 16,500 to 36,700 EOH's depending upon the amount of the safety factor used in the analyses. Some of the blades removed after 24,000 EOH's of use need to be cut into test specimens and subjected to stress rupture testing for more accurate estimating the life remains. TAIPOWER, however, needs to continue to replace the blades in accordance with Siemens' recommendations until sufficient test data is available to justify an increase in the blade replacement period. |
