英文摘要 | Background: We have developed several quantitative methods to measure the brain function using [F-18] 2-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET). Methods: A 10-min transmission scan is taken using a rotating Ge-68 pin source for attenuation correction. Twenty-two emission frames are acquired after iv injection of 10 m Ci of [F-18] FDG. Arterial blood samples are manually drawn to get the input function of modeling. We use the modified Sokoloff 3-compartment model to describe and evaluate the regional cerebral metabolic rate of glucose (rCMRGIcs) with auto radiographic method (AR), Patlak graphic approach (PGA), and non-linear least squares method (NLS). Results: Twelve control cases were collected. The lumped constant estimated in our study was 0.404 ± 0.092. rCMRGlcs (in mg/min/100g) of gray matter with NLS, AR, and PGA methods were 6.99 ± 0.81, 6.03 ± 0.86, and 5.37 ± 0.73, respectively. Those of the white matter using NLS, AR, and PGA methods were 3.34 ± 0.73, 2.11 ± 0.73, and 2.58 ± 0.49, respectively. Conclusions: We have implemented the basic tools for the quantitation of FDG study. Normal data has been established and further studies can be undertaken to evaluate rCMRGIcs of patients with different diseases in a quantitative way. |
