英文摘要 | The effects of oxygen and hydrogen peroxide on the biodegradation of 2, 4-dichlorophenol were conducted with a series of sand columns. Hydrogen peroxide was used as an alternative oxygen source to supply more oxygen for enhancing the removal of 2, 4-dichlorophenol in sand columns. The results indicated that the removal of 2, 4-dichlorophenol increased with an increase in the concentrations of oxygen and hydrogen peroxide. The removal of 2, 4-dichlorophenol at 60 mg/L increased from 10% to 23, 63, and 100% when the concentrations of hydrogen peroxide increased from 0 to 20, 60, and 100 mg/L, respectively. The results also indicated that abiotic removal of 2, 4- dichlorphenol, such as adsorption and chemical oxidation, in the sand columns was negligible. The presence of hydrogen peroxide not only increased the removal of 2, 4-dichlorophenol, but also the mineralization ratio of the removed 2, 4-dichlorophenol. However, the utilization efficiency of hydrogen peroxide decreased with an increase in its initial concentration. The radio of the amount of 2, 4-dichlorophenol removed to the amount of hydrogen peroxide added decreased from 0.7 to 0.56 mg-DCP/mg-H O when the concentration of hydrogen peroxide increased from 20 to 100 mg/L. |
