英文摘要 | The Taguchi method was employed to analyze and optimize titanium carbonitride filmson cemented carbide (WC-6%Co-10%TiC-8%TaC) indexable milling cutters regarding machining conditions. Six variables, i.e. the film construction, cutting speed, feed rate, depthof cut, workpiece hardness and milling type, were considered. The results showed that thefilm construction was the most dominant variable, with a percentage contribution as high as 48.85% to the overall performance of the milling system. Through t he statistical calculation an optimum variable combination was obtained, and the optimal film construction was 3 μ mTiN + 2 μ m TiCN (from the substrate to the top) rather than 5 μ m TiCN alone. The resultantflank wear achieved 480% and 320% improvement compared with the uncoated and 5 μ m TiN coated cutters. |
