英文摘要 | The high temperature characteristics of 2091 aluminum-lithium alloy and 2219 aluminum alloy were investigated with hot ductility testing of simulated HAZ using Gleeble 1500. The 2091 alloy displayed lower ductility, more susceptibility to HAZ cracking and poorer ductility recovery on cooling from the nil-strength temperature (NST) comparing to 2219 alloy. Optical and electron microscopy have revealed that ductility loss on hot tensile tests of 2091 accompanied by fracture transition from ductile transgranular to brittle intergranular mode. The HAZ intergranular liquation cracking of 2091 alloy was caused by non-equilibrium eutectic melting of T phase that precipitated on grain boundaries. |
