英文摘要 | 本文就篇章語言學觀點,分析中國人在先有準備及毫無準備情況下,英語演說呈 現在銜接性上之特徵。銜接性之分析,係將銜接成分分為五大類: 反復、代換、省略、連接 詞及話語標誌,其下再細分若干類別。除統計其出現之頻率外,文中就特殊現象自語料中擇 要佐證及及說明分析。此外,口語演說中常出現之不一致結構及停頓, 亦予探討。研究結果 顯示,在毫無準備之情況下,演說者比較無法使用明確之銜接成分,且不一致結構及停頓亦 較常出現。經由上述之觀察及分析,期能引發教師重視銜接性在表達上及理解上之相關性, 從而設計適當的練習以提昇學生之表達及理解能力。 see, which should be mutually connected within a sequence. This study is intended to arouse the awareness of researcher to the problems in applying cohesive devices in the oral presentations of English by nonnative speakers, especially along the prepared and unprepared categories respectively. On account of the unique features of monologue lectures, the cohesive devices are classified into five major types: repetition, substitution, ellipsis, junction, and discourse marker. In addition, two related components as anacoluthon and pause are also discussed. In terms of the categories of preparedness an dunpreparedness, the overall frequency of occurrence per thousand words of the aforementioned types of devices is presented firstly, and a more detailed qualitative analysis is illustrated accordingly. The results of the study show that speakers in an unprepared situation tend to adopt cohesive devices incorrectly or implicitly. Besides, discourse markers and pauses are more frequently used by unprepared speakers. Some pedagogical implications for improving students' performance in oral presentations are also suggested. |
