英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to compare the corporate culture and employee's work attitudes across Taiwan Strait. The impact of corporate culture on employee's work attitudes is also examined. This study includes four large Taiwanese companines and their 862 employees across Taiwan Strait. The results show that (1) There are significant differences on corporate culture across Taiwan Strait. (2) The Mainlan Chinese employees and Taiwanese employees have different work attitudes. (3) The corporate effect can explain the variance of work attitucdes more than the area effect can. Nevertheless, the area effect can explain the variance of corporate culture more than the corporate effect can. (4) Professional management practice has strong positive effect on the employee's work attitudes across Taiwan Strait. (5) Job-oriented management has negative effect on the intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction and organizational commitment or the Mainland Chinese employees. (6) Tight control has positive effect on Mainland Chinese employee's intrinsic job satisfaction and negative effect on Tainwanese employee's intrinsic job satisfaction. (7) Pragmatic management practice had negative effect on the extrinsic job satisfaction of Taiwanese employees and organizaional commitment of Mainland Chinese employees. |
