中文摘要 | 非同步傳輸模式交換技術已和光纖技術結合,使得傳輸速度大大提昇, 也使得寬 頻服務的提供,早已成為事實。 中華電信研究所( TL )致力於 ATM 交換機和相關產品的 開發,目前已完成第一階段寬頻虛擬路徑交換機的開發,並已在臺灣地區連成以寬頻虛擬路 徑交換機為主的 NII 寬頻服務試用骨幹網路,提供寬頻服務試用。為配合實際需要,TL 也 正在開發寬頻虛擬通道交換機以及其維運支援系統。 寬頻交換機維運支援系統( BSOSS )透過 CMIP 協定和 ATM 寬頻交換機相溝通,其和 ATM 交換機之界面採用 OSI 網管界面( TMN Q3 )之標準。 BSOSS 將提供障礙管理、效能管理 、組態管理、帳務管理和安全管理等功能,BSOSS 也將具備有遠端遙控以及分區網管之功能 。本文描述 BSOSS 之設計原理、功能、軟體及硬體的架構、以及 BSOSS 之預期效益和未來 規劃。 |
英文摘要 | Chunghwa Telecommunication Laboratories have been implementing ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) switches and related products for many years. An ATM broadband virtual path switch has been developed and been deployed for the construction of NII broadband services trial backbone network in Taiwan. Many broadband services have been tried on the network, including multipoint video conference, telemedicine, distance learning, video on demand, campus LAN interconnection, ATM international interoperability test, etc. To upgrade the functionality and reliability of the network, the development of an ATM broadband virtual channel switch has been also underway. The switch will provide signaling, permanent and switched virtual path and channel connections with point-to-point or point-to-multipoint options, etc. The switch provides DS1, DS3, OC3, and OC12 interfaces with switch capacity up to 10 Gbps per switch. BSOSS (Broadband Switch Operations Support System) communicates with the ATM broadband virtual channel switch using CMIP protocol with OSI TMN Q3 interface. BSOSS will provide TMN network management functions, including configuration management, fault management, performance management, accounting management, and security management. BSOSS will also provide both remote access and district management features. This paper describes the design of BSOSS, including functions, hardware and software architecture of BSOSS. It also presents anticipatable benefit and future of BSOSS. |
