英文摘要 | Fifteen varieties of Job's tears were compared their agronomic characters in the spring and the summer crop seasons, respectively. Generally, the spring crop showed larger values in most of charcters observed than those of the summer crop season, especially, in plant height, number of fertilized grains and fertility(%). In plant height, tiller numbr per plant, fertilized grain number and fertility(%), their variances due to the interaction between variety and crop season were shown significantly larger. Plant height and other yield-component characters were positive-inter-correlated significantly in the summer crop season, but such correlations were not found in the spring season. Hybrids were made between a lateness-heading variety, Hakukoku, with earliness-heading varieties Miya-gi, Kuro-ishi and Taichung-hsuan 1, respectively. In the spring, mean of some characters estimated in the F �� populations were found smaller than those estimated in their respective parents (mid-parent), but the former had larger values than the latter in the summer. generally, most of characters observed in the F �� populations had larger variance than those of parents both in the spring and summer seasons. In a cross, Hakukoku X Kuro-ishi, the F �� population derived from the F �� grown in the spring, which showed larger character-variations than those of the F �� derived from the F �� grown in the summer, when they were tested both in the spring and summer crop seasons. |
