中文摘要 | 教育是以人群所塑造的教育現象、教育問題為主要內容,人類學則是以人類的行為 、風俗習慣、價值信念、社會結構(統稱文化)作為研究對象。而所謂的教育人類學,就是 企圖在這兩個領域的共同性上面另闢蹊徑,透過人類學的角度及研究方法,進一步澄清教育 人員(包含教師與行政人員)解決教育難題的理念與做法,作出更合乎公平正義原則的決定 。 在臺灣目前的教育圈中,多元文化教育的理念經常為人所呼籲、引用。文化相對論的認識、 尊重接納態度的培養、原住民教育的落實、降低偏見與破除刻板印象的的課程與教學更是各 利益團體、各方學者關心所在,而教育人類學在這些方面的應用是肯定的。本文主要闡揚教 育與人類學的互補、互通關係,例如人類學的性質與基本概念,以及教育與文化的共通性等 。此外,民族誌是教育人類學研究方法中相當倚重的部分,而中外兩個研究範例的介紹有助 於讀者對於文中提到的一些相關術語、概念、原則與問題進一步的認識。最後,作者以為, 教育人類學對師資培育機構來說是一門相當重要的學科,對於培養新世紀的兒童以及其生長 文化的瞭解具有很大的參考價值。 |
英文摘要 | As we know, anthropology is one of the foundations for pedagogy. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationship between education and anthropology. Aside from introduction to basic anthropological concepts and principles, this paper also identifies some characteristics of educational snthropology. It is hoped that by way of such effort, our elementary school teachers (including preservice and practitioners) can be benefited from such analysis and refresh their previous perceptions about students and learning. Two researches are illustrated in the later part for clarifying methodological issues and for providing guidelines. It is concluded that the importance of educational anthropology should be emphasized in teachers colleges so that a more just and fair society can be formulated. It is also stressed that the ethnography can't be viewed merely as techniques but as a way to approach a humane and democratic environment. |
