中文摘要 | 沃斯回火延性鑄鐵是將球墨鑄鐵經由沃斯回火處理使基材組織變態為針狀肥粒鐵 及高碳沃斯田鐵為主之雙相組織,而具有高強度、高韌性、耐磨耗性及抗疲勞性之鑄鐵材料 。 由於 ADI 具有上述優良特性之組合,已取代部份傳統之鑄鋼、鍛鋼製造之機械用零件, 如汽車傳動軸、連桿、齒輪、鐵軌等。 過去對於不同厚斷面 ADI 鑄件的研究,大多侷限於 傳統之機械性質及耐疲勞性等, 而質量效應對於 ADI 破裂韌性方面之影響則較有人研究。 故本研究將不同厚斷面之球墨鑄鐵,利用改變沃斯回火熱處理條件,以得到具高強度、高韌 性之 ADI,並探討質量效應與熱處理變數對平面應變破裂韌性 Kic 值之影響。 實驗結果顯 示 ADI 在較高沃斯回火溫度 (360 ℃ ) 比較低沃斯回火溫度 (300 ℃ ) 得到較高之 Kic 值但差幅不大,僅約 4% 左右,而質量效應方面,比較試片厚度差異 (30~115mm) 影響 kic 值之程度則約在 10% 之譜,且較厚者其 Kic 值較高。 |
英文摘要 | Microstructure of austempered ductile iron (ADI) composes of acicular ferrite and high carbon austenite. The dual-phase structure provides ADI with high strength, high toughness, good fatigue life and wear-resistance. Because of theses unique characteristics, ADI has replaced some cast or forged steels in such application as transmission axle, connecting rod, gears and rail, etc. Various mechanical properties and fatigue behavior of ADI has been studied extensively by many researches, however, the mass effect on fracture goughness of ADI has not been investigated nor reported yet. thus, it is the purpose of this experiment to evaluate the plane strain fracture toughness Kic of ductile iron with different section size when subjected to austempering heat treatment processing of different temperature and time. The results showed that highe4r austempering temperature (360 ℃ ) yielded better Kic values than the lower ones (300 ℃ ), although the differenece was not very significant at about 4%. In this regard, the mass effect on fracture toughness seemed to be more profound at about 10% in castings thickness of 30mm to 115mm, with the heavier section being higher in Kic values. |
